Based on personal consultations about your taste and needs, we scour the entire New York wine market from top to bottom, leaving no shelf unturned in our quest to bring you the finest bottles available, with minimal hassle and at minimal cost.
We never want to spend full retail price on what we drink, and neither should you. Our expertise in tracking down exceptional bargains-- as well as the relationships we’ve built with many of the city’s top retailers— allows us to offer you world-class bottles at generally thirty to fifty percent below standard retail prices citywide.
HOW IT WORKS
We love drinking great wine just as much as you do, and have learned that the better the deal we find, the more great wine you can enjoy. We always have our sights set on value, whether it’s discovering an irresistible closeout deal on a case of mature Barolo or exploring up-and-coming, off-the-radar wine regions that offer unbeatable bang for the buck.
Unlike traditional wine clubs, we have no preset tiers of cost or generic blanket offerings. Instead, you just tell us how much or how little you want to spend, give us as much input as you like, and we'll go hunting for the best wine on the market, custom-tailored to your specific interests and taste. Many of our clients simply opt for allocating a monthly budget, providing a few parameters, and letting us take care of the rest.
Once we've found your wine, we will deliver it to your door, along with all the information you’ll need to pair it with food, serve it so it shines, impress the hell out of your family and friends, and generally get the most out of your drinking experience. We’re always available by phone, email or in person for customized advice and support.
* Sussman da Cruz Fine Wine Consultants charges a small fee (generally between 9 and 12%) on all wine provided. Pricing is dependent upon transportation, sourcing and delivery costs.
OUR TEAM
Michael da Cruz began his career in wine sales years before he was legally allowed to drink. Since then, he’s worked as a WSET-certified professional at several top retail establishments throughout the North East, and has served as a freelance consultant to restaurants and private collectors.
Zachary Sussman, a Brooklyn-based wine journalist, has written for various media outlets, including Tasting Table and Wine Chap, where he writes the economical wines column. His special interest is exploring the world’s top “value” wine regions, as well as highlighting under-the-radar bottles that offer fantastic quality-to-price ratios.
